Spirit of Birth is a documentary project developed by Rezolution Pictures that explores the resurgence of Indigenous midwifery in Canada. The film follows Indigenous midwives and communities as they work to rebuild culturally grounded systems of care and reconnect birth with land, language, and community.

The project highlights the cultural and spiritual significance of birth and the leadership of Indigenous midwives in restoring these practices.

Inspired by her personal experience of motherhood, host Rebeka Tabobondung (Anishinaabe) embarks upon a journey to Indigenous communities across Canada, and into the sacred world of Indigenous midwives and birth workers as they care for pregnant mothers and families in order to restore birth in their communities.
